It's the same here in Hollywood. The actors with no major credits have had no work in at least 2 years. Major and minor companies we've worked with for years are gone. IMO it’s gonna get worse: a lot of actors’ agencies are up to their eyeballs in private equity so when the economy really starts receding I think we’ll see big names on the chopping block

Similar happening in the games industry. Getting eaten from the inside by short sighted investors. Kind of terrifying, but also might help boost independent productions & encourage people to unionize.

Yeah, AI is going to be a blight for a long time coming. Morons will swear it's just as good as tv ever was and pretend it's worth watching once it gets to coherent levels of writing (might be months, likely will be years) and the humanities slip even further into the mud.

Shelf-stacking jobs are also really tight on hiring sometimes.... been trying to get a friend a job who has co-op experience to work in retail with me and we struggle with getting people in but no dice :(
