These kids have more spine in them than many "Allies" and some within the Community itself. And that is what's soul-crushing.

He only had a tiny majority in his own constituency, even with the collapse of the Tory vote and Labour winning a landslide. So it's a fair shake that he'll lose his seat in the next general election.

My pet theory is that he knows this, and is selfishly positioning himself for his next job.
