This is my favourite kind of tree, an old, gnarly, lichen-covered hawthorn in the middle of a field in #Wales. Looks like it’s fallen over, but the wind up here just forced it to grow that way. Loads of patches of wool show it to be a popular scratching spot for local sheep.
