What we gained in having Digne’s left foot was marginal; what we lost with a defensive left side of Digne and Maatsen was significant

Had Bogarde and McGinn on the bench to replace Kamara in midfield but I think he wanted to keep a left sided player for build up. Backfired.

Wont argue that, but views and responsibilities and time given all change when you move to that CB position…I wont fault him like you said good effort…dont know how we line up next game TBH….

Emery said he wanted a left footer there, that’s why he moved Digne, but he got overwhelmed physically a bit. Maatsen really didn’t help him defensively either

We got exposed on the other side too esp on the goal…while people will blame Cash directly there were three unmarked players at the far post …thats growing pains with Malen ( not a criticism just a point)

I’ve not problem with the criticism, Cash needed help, but Foyth for instance, playing RB, probably wins the header that Cash can’t. It’s no coincidence teams constantly attack our right side, either running at Cash or crossing to him

How come I have seen it repeatedly, with McGinn ahead of him, and with Bailey. Maybe it is just bad luck?
