Interesting that it looks like a blue body, whereas the Test Card F clown had a light green covering over the blue.

The green was put over the Bubbles’ body for the test card for colour testing purposes (don’t think there was a green in the rest of the shot?)

The presence of Bubbles was so that TV engineers could adjust the clown filter with a small screwdriver, increasing or decreasing the number of clowns that a domestic television set could receive at any one time.
