I heard this from someone earlier, but I checked my follow list. I am still following Harris and no Trump or Vance is on my follow list. I think it's more to do with your profile settings. My profile is locked pretty tight due to being a teacher.

I wasn’t following Biden or Harris but found out yesterday I was following Vance. The same happened with my friend- she unfollowed Vance and Trump when she found out only to find they had her refollow them again… she had to unfollow and block. Sounds like it’s good for everyone to double check

It is a tweak of what used to happen. The “@potus” account would roll over. “Barack Obama” would not, even if it was his official account. And I am VERY curious about whether the same thing is happen in the case of, say, the official accounts of democratic reps or governors who defeated republicans
