I suppose in timeline this wouldn't make sense, but this has never stopped GF in spin offs before, but I'd really want a cool Mewtwo fight. Give it the energy of the first gen 1 encounter, but it's just you with a weapon against a very powerful flying psychic and elemental attacking beast.

They always forget he's got a lot of powerful moves, and on top of psychic shenanigans I'd love to see Mewtwo throw off all the stops and start throwing around shadow balls, blizzards, creating earthquakes, bulking up with screens. a 1v1 where the opponent can do a bit of everything would slap.

I dunno, it just seemed like the safest way Nintendo/GF would realistically greenlight a hypothetical MH X Pokemon game. Pokemon's so kid friendly I imagine they'd want to swerve implication your chopping up all the fan favorites.

I did have the thought maybe a Pokemon X MH crossover could weave in a spin off story implying it's more of a test of strength thing. You're not cutting Groudon into ribbons, you're testing your might and when you win Groudon rewards you with crafting materials given of its own volition.
