People ask me how I don't succumb to despair. 1. We don't really have that luxury 2. If I feel hopelessness creeping in, I reframe the situation to accurately see what's happening and what is to come: I am reminding myself that a post-Tr*mp era is coming and we decide what it looks like.

A commenter told me not to refer to CECOT as "America's Auschwitz" bc it "minimizes the atrocity of that death camp" to do so. They clearly don't know what CECOT is. Auschwitz didn't start out as a death camp. It started out like CECOT. I chose the comparison bc they follow the same trajectory.
