Target sits on the Board of Directors for WBENC, the National Council of Women Business Owners whose main goal is to support and empower small Women Owned Business (which are minorities in this great country). How does Target get to sit on a Board that the no longer support? Asking for a friend
Maybe when you call, you ask them how they sit on the Board of Directors of WBENC, an organization to empower and support Women Business Owners, (which are minorities in the country). How do you sit on the board of an organization you do not support??
I drive a tractor trailer. When I’m out, I live in the truck. Restaurants even 1 meal a day are prohibitively expensive. Walmarts are just about the only places with tractor trailer access for grocery shopping.
As a Minnesotan, I am both ashamed by and angry at Target for taking this racist stance. Seriously, do the civic minded Dayton family of my youth still have to do with the company, what happened there?! As a lesbian, I join my diverse community and #BoycottTarget and urge them to do better.
I'm not usually one for boycotts but this isn't a silly little reason. I'm only one person but my money will be spent at stores and businesses that don't bow down to the orange one and instead still hire and serve everyone.

#Target did away with their #DEI programs.
Whew! What a relief for all those Starbucks drinking beach waved hair wearing floppy hat rocking giant $400 purse carrying obtuse trophy wives with nothing better to do than walk around Target for 3 hours deciding what to spend their husband's salary on.
Not only is it 'so', it's stupid. Do they think those 'Moms against liberty' type Karens will ever forget that Target used to have 'Pride' stuff, and rainbow logos?
They are all afraid of the felon in chief. We knew it was going to be an awful two years. We need to be working for 2026 to take back one if not both Houses of Congress.
That would depend on what we are getting. We live in an area what has a ton of other option. Bulk stuff BJ’s, local pet store for animal stuff, grocery stores and farms for food.
We stopped giving our money to companies we don’t agree with long time ago. Never Walmart, hobby lobby, walgreen or even chick-fil-a ( which we call hate chicken )
Local shops to my area. We have great book stores here and a comic shops that have toys, electronics and media stuff. And clothes is everywhere a smaller stores the a target.
Target may be especially vulnerable to boycott since they tend to be located in more suburban areas where there are many more choices as mentioned, unlike, say,Tractor Supply or Walmart. (Closest TGT for me is an hour away). Plus their customer base skews more blue. This seems risky.
For me it first shop locally own small businesses first, Costco then. Food first small locally owned Mexican meat markets before any big grocery store.
Watch the documentary Buy Now. Sane minded Americans need to knock it off with consumption. If there’s one thing we can learn whilst resisting this oligarchy is to stop putting money in their pockets and trash in the sea. Shop as little and as local as possible. Pass it on!
I ditched all MSM in November and haven't missed it. Stopped buying anything on Amazon in December and haven't missed it. I will be going to TJMaxx and Costco and will not step in Target again. I may miss it but I'm not supporting any company who doesn't support ALL people.
MAGATS led the charge on boycotting Target over rainbow apparel recently. Now I see posts from progressives calling for a Target boycott because rolling back their DEI stance. I am puzzled by both sides taking aim at Target, almost like someone (or several) wants to drive Target out of business
I don’t have a Costco in my neck of the woods. But I have a BJ’s and a membership card. I’ll be hitting BJ’s more frequently, as they still support DEI.
People have to realize these corporations are not altruistic they are driven by my money and profit. The elimination of any part of their organization that can reduce spend is a good thing from their perspective. They are not woke they are not there to make everyone feel good. It's a business.
I am single. I don't need/can't use/can't afford gallon jars of mayo. The 2 stores I regularly buy my groceries at are Walmart and Target. My town doesn't even have a grocery store. I'm struggling to figure out my options.
Why would you be surprised here? Remember how they caved to the right-wingers complaining about some LGBTQ display a few years back? Look, if you've ever worked in corporate America you are well aware that the executive level never really gave a shit about DEI, it just seemed like good PR for them
Now that they think the country is down with misogyny and bigotry, they think they no longer have to have DEI initiatives. It was all a facade, everything they do is a facade. Stop expecting corporate America to to adopt your values, unless your values are one of greed. Use our collective financial
muscle to impose our will, as the right-wingers learned a while ago. I doubt liberals can do that, we're a more talk-a-good-game type than be willing to do what we need to do. Everyone is still going to buy their Live Love Laugh signs from Target.
Maybe it’s time for the left and liberals to change our game, then. I would rather die trying than give up. I believe the extreme right is outnumbered. At 49, I’m getting involved for the first time in my life. From what I’ve seen, I’m not alone.
I live in Indiana too, and it’s really starting to show what an EXTREMELY backwards state we are. I saw a black trash bag made to look like a person, hanging from a noose on display in their front yard. I stopped and took a photo. Starting a petition to have removed and contacting local news. PISSED
SO never shop at Target, Wal-mart or Macdonalds again. Ever. Even if they change their minds to get back the business. Wipe them out as an example of others. Me, too. :)

Remember 5 or 7 yrs ago when Target was in trouble bc they had bad policies that targeted minorities/had bad press? Well the DEI tactic was in response to minorities avoid boycotts. Well without the societal support, they simply are retiring to their roots. Costco, BJs, & others will benefit.
You would think these things would increase business. But to have a mandate to do so is another story. Success is supplying what's in demand and make local/regional choices based on merit regardless of race.
I stopped using my Target card and they sent me a letter telling me they missed my business. So folks, if you have a Target charge card, cut that sucker up. Stop shopping at Target. They WILL feel it.
So frustrating for those of us in areas with limited choices. Not everything can be shipped, and a lot of local businesses in my red area are owned by MAGAs. No Costco or Kroger here. Target was my go-to. Some of us are stuck with the least of the evils.
I love hearing each company's stance on this issue. It makes my shopping choices so much easier. Costco now gets about 70% of all my shopping, including gas.
Literally no one needs anything at Target. It’s an activity for fun. It’s easy to give them up and will help curb unnecessary spending, which is super important right now. Calling on Monday to cancel my card.
No worries…just another shop to Boycott! Hoping for the resurgence of small businesses. Blue states tend to have folks with a lot more disposable income. Let MAGA have target too.
Target employs over 400,000 people. If Target tanks, so do their lives, many of them the very people we want to protect/support (because of Target's previous position). I get the desire to boycott, but I'm worried about the people it's going to affect.
Plenty of places for them to go plenty of things for them to do. This is all about the corporations. If the corporations are wise, they will keep their people. We boycotting them and tanking their sales is the message and our power. If we want things to change, you have to fight.
Another boycott amongst the others. Amazon, Walmart, Meta, Starbucks which I never go, Ford, Lowes, McDonalds, catepillar,harley- Davidson, John deere,Brown- forman,Forman, planet fitness. More to come.
Matching consumerism with personal ethics is always a challenge and always requires balance and lines we unfortunately sometimes cross out of necessity
With Target what they say versus do still may make them a better option over Wal-Mart in your community
I would no linger shop at Target but we ran them put of Canada years ago for not allowing pur WWII vets to sit inside their doorways to sell poppies for Remembrance Day. Target was not a cultural fit in Canada!
I would boycott them. But it is so close. Walking distance I don't want to take the bus to Fry's. (Kroger). My social awareness says one thing. My age (79) says another. Damn it.
As I saw on another post here on Bluesky, 'Boycott to the best of your abilitiy'
We don't all have the same options. Some options are better than others. One person on their own is a drop in the budget. Add up all three drops, and they become more.

Boycott them.
Please share. Let’s do this.
The top investors and executives will care and take action if we apply enough pressure.
That terrifies them when others see it and jump on the bandwagon.
I know. I was once one of the suits.

Stores are there in majority minority neighborhoods? I’m guessing pretty soon not many.
And euthanized the dog.
Notice they haven’t said if they will be in any LGBT pride parades yet. Log cabin sponsorship?

I'm hearing good things about Kohl's, too.
Still have a DVD player for media, and libraries. Used clothes.
Gap brands (Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic, athleta) are still supporting DEI if new is needed
