Admin & supervisors control the flow of communication, leverage power, produce a narrative and divide workers by misconstruing idle gossip.
This gives them power over the isolated employee.
Parents control the leverage, they divide the children into informants against each other, they sow distrust between “he said/she said” and ultimately succeed in what they want by keeping the children divided. (See: Malcolm in the Middle.)
