I really feel this image. Anxiety really sucks, especially when it makes you have fear reaponses to ganer rage. My boyfriend actually had to unlearn his anger reaponse to games he plays for my sake.

One time there was this guy in my college dorm who I could hear gamer raging while I was working at night. I got pissed, told him to quiet down. He later came to apologize, saying "you know how it is when you're deep in a game" and I had to hold back from saying "no I don't get that, wtf"

It's especially frustrating when it's a game like Noita, where knowledge is the main thing you keep between your deaths and is the primary form of progression. If I tell my friend some cool technique to get through it, am I skipping part of the experience for them?

I've seen this happen a time or two during live streams. There are streamers that insist on figuring it out themselves and ask that their chats not spoil anything. But I feel that offering advice is a much better option than watching someone struggle and get frustrated.

And for those that say, "But that's not how the game developers intended for us to figure out the game." I grew up in a time when the developer would publish a strategy guide, and I would get advice on how to complete a game by talking to my classmates at school.

I think the fact that they don't know what to do, what they did wrong, or what they could have done are common reasons for raging in a game they play for the first time.

It's a shame that some people gave up soon after, instead of trying to figure things out first though.

A slippery slope to slide sometimes. Usually i ask first since so many enjoy a mess of situations they put themselves in. Or want only the game to convey. Or are into the struggle, emotion, bitterness(?)
This situation does bite me occasionally still though.

i would love for this to be a thing because in all the times i see people getting mad about games and people offering friendly advice on how to do better it has not gone that well or even close to it lol

tbf though at that point of rage its probably better to quit and have friends give advice later
