The oldest members of Gen X are turning 60, and no Gen Xer has ever been president.

The oldest Millennials are in their mid-40s, and there are only 5 Millennials in the US Senate.

Only 1 state has a Millennial governor.

Poilievre is on the tail end of Gen X, born in 1979, 45 years old.

Jagmeet Singh, also born in 1979, 46 years old.

Former PM Harper was a boomer, served from 46-56 years old.

I'm on the border between Gen X and Millennial and I fundamentally do not understand anyone who wants to hold their job until they die. My only true goal is to stop working as soon as it is at all feasible for me. I don't want power I want time.

I think that the modern campaign favors younger candidates, that can do things like producing daily videos, things that older candidates *physically* can't do. And after Biden there will be pressure on the Democrat side for not even putting people that will be over 70 in the path for nomination.
