Not only are trans issues rated as neutral impact… but they’re also listed as not that consequential. Staggering. What even can you say?
Oh I wonder if any of the columnist who put this together are trans & feel that hatred.
(Plus, why even have such a weird rating system? What’s going on here?!)

Of course the NYT sees the "DEI" stuff positively & is neutral on anti-trans discrimination

Just explain why each one matters and how it harms people. It’s really not that hard
It's easier than reporting the truth, I guess?
Fuck right off.
As a social scientist, I’m interested in measuring how much of the moral panic re trans people was the result of this one publication- thru agenda-setting, priming + framing.
Bet they get real upset whenever they see trans people accuse liberals of not caring about trans rights, though.
thinking they can fucking judge it inconsequential because only … 1.6-2.5 MILLION people (in the US alone, nevermind those who travel here), and their families, are treated as outsider class with lesser rights
Do they think we’re too dumb to form our own judgments? Or do they think they’re so important that we care about their rankings?
But at least a very very powerful visual aid for media literacy on why nyt opinion pages are so beyond saving!
