My father and I had an argument about this earlier. He claimed "Bluesky won't be around in a year because it does nothing to make a profit."
How exactly do I explain that sites whos priority is the user experience are often better off than profit-driven ones.
Honestly I think the block feature is fine enough. Let them come and watch their interactions and user experience completely dry up because of their awful additudes / opinions. Maybe it'll be their wakeup call.
Really? Haven’t seen them around yet myself, hopefully they stay away and leave me alone but at least the block feature works here and I’m sure they’ll all get added to a block list eventually
I'm seeing them in replies to some of the old, big "lefty" Twitter accounts who've migrated. I'm glad you haven't seen it. No one should. Lots of ugly stuff to not just block, but report.
Like just about everything they spout, it's disingenuous. We don't spend every post in political masturbation with each other. We're using social media to be social. Our feeds are reflecting our passions, our interests, our very humanities with each other and along the way discovering new things
