Trump disapproval sounds right but man do we need to talk about Roanoke’s tendency to get goofy results. I find it hard to believe almost half of gubernatorial voters are undecided.

whoever the GOP candidate ends up bring is gonna be in a tough spot. Need trump to bring the base home but that is also gonna chase away a lot of swing voters. The current course of the GOP doesn’t appear to be pushing back on Trump…

Might be a little early to have clear sense of what’s going on in Governor’s race

But Trump approval numbers are pretty striking

Trump got 46% of Virginia vote in November

So could be some backlash even among his voters

For reference, Roanoke’s final 2024 poll was 51%-41% Harris-Trump

They got Harris number dead on with Trump ending up with more support

Youngkin approval in this new poll was 53%-39% approve

So as @jacobsmith points out, doesn’t seem like overwhelming Dem sample
