Keep it simple! “My name is Kelly & I’m a constituent in 12345 & I’m very disappointed about the senator’s yea vote to affirm [CLOWN]. We elected you to fight for us. The GOP is laughing at you.”
"I need you to hold the line, to sound the alarm to constituents of the authoritarian threat to our democracy & rule of law. Now is not the time for bipartisanship when the other party is in the process of an authoritarian power grab. I expect you to use every democratic means to slow and resist."
I think we need to actually see if Mitch McConnell is available to become leader of the Dem Senates. Because he is pissed about some of what's going on and has an uncanny ability to gunk shit up. And the Dems have no game.
Identical messages are easier to count, require less thought. Numbers are good. Distinct messages have more power. So if its send someone else's script or nothing, send the script. But if you have the bandwidth to write your own, that's even better.
Serious question--what about "today we're writing about Y" and then in one's own words? I often struggle with the outrage of the day, especially on days when there are 15 different outrages.
A similar approach to your GOP representative regarding Trump’s trade wars would be: “We in [red state/district] voted for a return to the 2019 Trump economy, not to an all-out trade war with one of our state’s most important trading partners.”
Lean hard on their “government is corrupt” messaging and get mad about “that felon breaking laws” and “that undocumented guy stealing our taxpayer money”
Maybe emphasize that Musk is taking the power of Congress and rendering it moot. If Musk is not stopped, the cuts *will* hit their constituates. And they will have given away their power to stop it.
I am concerned about privacy, and it seems that unvetted individuals have taken over access to treasury department files with all of our tax information. Congress must stop this immediately and investigate.
For shutting down federal funding generally and USAID, I’d focus on Congressional vs Executive powers: I am calling because I’m concerned about executive overreach. The President and his appointees have no authority to stop funds and programs approved by Congress (like USAID)….
…I believe in the checks and balances laid out in our Constitution, and as a member of Congress I expect you to uphold them and push back against executive orders that encroach on the Congressional power of the purse.
Comments
I'm not kidding, though. They really do.
Thank you!

Caveat, I've only been involved in compiling public comments for NPS not congressional peeps.
When legal means to check abuse fail, that is when people turn to illegal means.
If elected folk fail to stop the GOP power grab, you’re gonna see more Luigis, who a decapitated FBI won’t be able to catch.
Trump turns on everyone. Musk is incapable of sharing power.
Sow paranoia and division.
And tell them about that Trump district in Iowa that just swung like 20 points to blue and that were repeating that model everywhere...
So many options. Feel free to lie to them the same way they lie to you.
You owe them nothing.

Never give an inch
