I should really let go of my ego and play more games in normal mode
It's not like I can't play them in hard mode after
And I'm really not in the proper headspace to play every single game in hard mode

Reminds me of when I started RE4R on hard cuz I'm a tuff girl who played og
Just to then get destroyed
Just now looking at sub reddits about Elden Ring being too difficult, chased some rabbits down some holes and really feel seen now.
Difficulty is cool until it's a gimmick, and then it isn't.
Give me DS3 at 60 frames any day tho.
It’s not ‘normal mode,’ but I’ve recently been playing Minecraft in creative mode. While I don’t get the fun challenge of trying to survive, I am having way more fun building my own little city with all of the cool blocks 😎
I absolutely hate it in dmc and metroid
Like I really shouldn't bother playing on hard woth shooting games
My view is more that I suck at everything so videogames are easy to he good at
Yes I know I can do this.
Yes it will take probably like 20min.
Yes it’s okay to do it in 5 on easy instead to not ruin the flow :)
Sometimes it's just fun to roam around and ave mindless fun without it being a challenge run
Both are fun
And both need their own spaces
Playing Pokemon Y lately made me realize that lol
As if normal mode wasn't jard too already lol
It's just not all games are for you to be played that way
I suck at shooters why would I play them on hardcore
Whereas jrpg and action games I love
Playing it on hard and it not being your cup of tea will tarnish your thoughts on it.
Sometimes an unenjoyable experience is just dragged out by making it difficult when it might have been a minor inconvenience on easy mode.
Higher difficulties are just fun
Honestly same I always play series I know In high difficulty first
Go for the playstyle you prefer
The game allows all those options for a reason
That's how I played it lol
Like even on easy shooting games are so hard for me lol
Me with Pokemon rn tho tbh I'm having fun especially since it's been some time
Sometimes games can be quite focused on mechanics and the interplay had at higher difficulties improves the overall experience without creating unneccesary hardship.
Then the other portion of the time you get a difficulty best described as a multiplied healthbar.
I kinda do the opposite lol
Go for hardest and decrease if it's too much
I mean it is just bsky
