OK so why doesn't anyone challenge him to identify the risk factors & lobby for better MH support for these schools then? Not just 🤷.
Time & again we hear reports of children acting worryingly by teachers and even their own families! Early intervention could prevent SOME of these tragedies. But no.
If I meander over to Twitter and see the name of a city trending, it's a fair assumption a mass shooting took place there. Especially if it's not a major city like Chicago/LA/NYC/Miami/etc.
can't wait till the republican's start wishing people a very merry school shooting since it happens so much and they dont care. Man i can't wait till the gun lobby uses that.
Natürlich könnte man etwas tun. Wenn Jeder X-Beliebige in Deutschland frei Waffen kaufen könnte, hätten wir hier auch viel öfter solche Probleme! Aber Profit ist Amerika ja wichtiger als Leben.
If it makes anyone feel better, Susan Collins spoke this morning and said how disappointed she is, but is pretty sure Robert Card has learned his lesson and won't be shooting anyone else.
This is usually a peaceful state! I know cause I live here! But now even we are getting affected by mass shootings! I mean I'm not near Lewiston but I'm still worried about going out right now.
Just an outside view:
Weapons must be reserved to police. On so many free weapons in US the very small percentage of crazy persons create the ground for such massaker.
Find other hobbies.
No, the police don't need them either, especially here where police brutality and cop-instigated legalized murder are almost as commonplace as mass shootings.
Start of Tweet was not Police Shooting.
I am aware, Police training in US also needs improvement.
But also this would be easier, if less weapons would be in hand of civil persons.
Collect the weapons! No one should need a weapon.
As I said: from outside view, may be not knowing all details.
Buddy you're the one who says "weapons should be reserved for the police," when they commit hundreds or even thousands of murders every year, themselves.
No one in power, you mean. Imagine being a parent here, getting a call from your child(ren)'s school.
All the wrong people love guns too much. Never forget that in 2020, there were armed right wing protestors storming their city halls because of the Covid Lockdown.
Yes I mean no one in power. Those parents should be the ones with the power to stop this. It's hard for us Europeans, not brought up in a gun culture, to understand why this is allowed to continue. Mind you, if there was an easy answer, someone would have found it by now wouldn't they?
The answer would be to look to the rest of the world, but the USA is too far up it's own ass to start doing that. Those in power need something heinous to happen to them to MAYBE finally do something, but who knows...
It's a tragedy Kenny. Like many Europeans, I've given up visiting the USA because it's become such an unstable violent country. European countries are far from perfect, but don't have this gun culture, 💔🙏

- "Crazy people" aren't the fucking problem but asshole ableist rhetoric like this contributes to violence TOWARDS them.
