It's just incredible.
Im not sure the ICJ's pursuit of sitting national leaders is effective or productive, is it inadvertently an impediment to conflict resolution, does it promote conflict to allow for resolution and leniency?
Any which way, the principle that nobody is above the law stands.
Thanks for the clarification on various courts.
Nobody should be above the law.
Just don't think it's being applied evenly (blind justice). and years of giving impunity to some while applying the law to others undermines the whole process.
Another mother has lost their child because of Netanyahu.
But European Union and Europe don't care.
Lives of Palestinian children have no value to @consilium.europa.eu and @ec.europa.eu, @eucopresident.consilium.europa.eu or @kajakallas.bsky.social etc.
European Union member officials and member state leaders have been courting Netanyahu's regime eagerly in the last few weeks.
@kajakallas.bsky.social has been meeting Israeli regime counterpart, lastly at the site of 1946 Zionist terrorist bombing,
and Greek PM Mitsotakis met Netanyahu March 30th:
Because it's no longer credible. If you are a court, supposedly, yet refuse to try a criminal just because of the vague threat of US-backed power, you in fact have no power and are complicit. In fact, worse than complicit: participatory. Trump is Hitler 2.0, literally AND figuratively.
May bibi think he’s coming freely and is actually getting nabbed!! Boring Orban acts as a Kremlin tool to try to dismantle international order so pupu doesn’t get is comeuppance. Anything Orban does is vantriliquism. Orban doesn’t know what Justice means, so why listen?

And giving Israeli leaders impunity from international law has been tried for 76 years and it hasn't led to "conflict resolution".

Hungary and the European Union reward Israel for doing so.

European Union and Europe don't care.
Omar Zayoud, 15, was killed yesterday by Israel in the West Bank.

Today Israel has killed at least 24 Palestinians.
But these deaths don't matter to the European Union or its member states.
The victims "don't look like us" - unlike Netanyahu and his regime leaders apparently.

As Kallas has met Netanyahu's cabinet counterpart regularly, no wonder.
European Union has given its seal of approval for everything Israel does.
Expressing "concern" & "deploring" Palestinian deaths doesn't change that.
Here is Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis meeting Netanyahu on March 30th.
European Union considers Benyamin Netanyahu more precious than all the children in Palestine.
I was thinking more of its withdrawal from the ICC, added onto Orbán's anti-democratic politics.

It's also probably what made Trump so contrite (as in tail tucked) after talking with Prime Minister Mark Carney.
PM Carney probably told Trump that he'd detain the felon SOB if he tried to visit Canada.
That's the story I'm spreading, anyway.
