I think or at least my interpretation of it is that this is exactly his point. Both suggestions are absurd and rightfully so people are pissed while Republicans cheered on the absurdity
Except Trump decided to post his himself. This is just ammunition for propagandists. We all understand the 'point'-- it's the execution that's being disputed.
Republicans don’t think they just follow. Whatever Donny “Two Dolls” Trump tells them to think is what they think. Whatever he tells them to like they like. Whatever he tells them is fake is fake. They won’t be solving any puzzles.

enraging when Trump puts out norm-shattering content like the pope image the White House posted. But it’s important to provide an alternative to his lunacy, not simply mirror his destructiveness. Boundaries matter or they don’t.
Let’s let him enjoy his life. No pope position and no third term. I love him and miss him but he has done and continues to do more than we deserve. Thanks Obama.

A line was most definitely crossed. It was very disrespectful, especially because the pope passed away only a couple of weeks ago, so I wouldn't fight fire with fire, even if Trump and MAGA conservatives deserve it.
