If you have not seen it yet, A Matter of Life and Death with David Niven is my pick for the apex of British WWII propaganda films. Powell and Pressburger's talents with Niven's acting alongside the wonderful Kim Hunter and some really impressive special effects scenes that can't be forgotten.

I always liked WWII movies about the common struggle; my parents were old enough then to tell me how life was stateside during the war.

Now I like them because it reminds me of when almost half the country recognized fascists as enemies.
