honestly i would hesitate to ascribe it to everybody!! i'm not depressed right now (i'm stressed out, and overworked, and always concerned that i'll sink back into it, but not depressed currently), and telling myself that it was normal, that everybody is feeling the same, that i'm just worse (1/2)

(2/2) at dealing with it, was one of the things that prevented me from getting help for a long time. i think most artists are stressed and overworked, maybe even burned out, but depression is its own thing, and you deserve care and support for it ♥️ (i hope this isn't too forward)

oh 100%!! i'm not trying to say don't talk about it, not at all. maybe i'm just over-associating, i apologize for overstepping in that case. i'm a chronic under-emphasizer when it comes to my mental health, and it's made things harder than they should be, but i'll bow out if i'm not helping

I think part of it is that I'm no longer willing to sound chipper and put on "Midwestern niceties and chit chat" anymore. Like, if I look/sound defeated it's because I am.
