Does everyone have a Costco near them? Can Costco ship meds to you? Obviously no billionaire is perfect but he’s supporting the right candidates and very anti-maga.
In regards to medication. We have found much lower prices at different suppliers, depending on the drug. It's a shame that our pharmaceutical supply chain is such a shell game. Cost plus is great, my wife saved over 70% on her medications, in comparison to our insurance price.
I don't believe they should have to take pay cuts. From what I've read their pay isn't really in alignment with the level of education needed for the job.
I see this as the US going the wrong direction in regards to science.
exactly. Why should civil servants who are doing important work that benefits the entire nation be asked to accept lower wages? In a world where a billionaires like Musk earn approximately *$1.79 MILLION DOLLARS AN HOUR*, this is insulting at worst, and disingenuous at best.
Cost Plus very literally saved me, Costco was one of the places I went when I ended up in a crisis with meds & they wanted 10x more than Cost Plus. I know it’s just one example, but maybe recognize there’s good done here. Also, at the Costcos around me you need a membership to use their pharmacy.
Considering my tax rate in Canada is 42% on a $100,000 income but unlike Americans I get mostly free healthcare, don’t have to worry about my bridges collapsing plus a multitude of other benefits.
That being said $300M is a significant tax bill and more than most billionaires in your country.
I think plenty of us Americans care what others (🇨🇦) think when they put forward considered, honest opinions. Billionaires an inequity are problems for our democracy. That said, Mark Cuban seems to care and has ideas. Not everything is black and white. Your thoughts are appreciated. Cheers,
You should care. He’s pointing out that there are other ways than what we do in this country and it’s healthy to consider options. I know you won’t care about my opinion either because you’re angry but I’m an American.
I am old enough to remember a few years where some businesses recognized multiple constituencies- shareholders, employees, customers, debtors, cities where they operated, etc.
Now all they seem to care about is top management compensation and shareholder return.
