The San Juan River cutting through the Raplee monocline - perhaps my favorite geological feature that I've personally seen to date.

This is why the Southwest is my favorite part of the US. The geology and scenery are just so unique.

Right there with ya! As much as I love mountains and trees, the southwest is just special.

The Raplee Monocline can be viewed from Mexican Hat. The colors are washed out during the day, but are stunning right at sunset. Unfortunately, however, views like these are only achievable via drone.

Canoed down the San Juan past that spot many years ago. It's a beautiful place.
