You can see the source of my info for some of this toward the bottom of this NPR piece...that also has a headline that reads as a Trump win. In short, basically nothing happened. It was just Colombia making sure that their people are treated fairly on their way home. Once they made that clear, they began accepting the migrants, and there's no trade war (for now). 🤷‍♀️

Every headline conveniently leaves out that Colombia threatened a very large tariff in response, as well.

... And also the fact that the tariffs STILL wouldn't hurt Colombia more than the US.
