It’s less about Nazis and more about people who are so deeply privileged that they never had to experience basic socialization like learning to hear a “no” — I gently invite you to put aside the question of ‘does it sound good and morally pure to say this’ and instead look at ‘is this true’

When you are very young, your main focus is your own needs. It is difficult for you to think critically and manage your emotions. This is normal and healthy; it is a stage you grow out of.

When no one ever tells you “no,” you get stuck at this developmental stage. Thus, you are compared to a child.

(I also recommend doing some research on how white people are trained to use “protecting children” as an excuse to silence and police others and how this does not in any way serve actual children — I trust that you’re a good person who has learned some harmful patterns and hope you can unlearn them)

I understand how satisfying it can be to believe Trump is stupid but everything he’s done demonstrates that he knows exactly how power works and exactly how to use it. For example he clearly knows the tattoo is fake and that he can simply bully the journalist into backing down, which he did.
