Exactly right, a point that seems to have got lost in all the debate about whether this is going to play into the far right tactic of claiming victimhood. If she is a victim it is of her own criminality nothing more. That is the reason to apply to law equally

The reason the likes of Musk, Orban, Wilders, Salvini, Farage, Tice are incorrectly claiming Le Pen is a political victim, is because the realise "If they hold one lot of populist, law breaking grifters to account - then what's to stop them going after the rest of us?"
