Spending in the military especially with the navy and air force takes time before any results are seen. That's why the poor record of the Tories is so much of a problem. Though of course labour under Blair could have done more as well. But the Tories did significant damage

The problems with the military are due to underfunding over the last 14 years when the Tories were in power. It also shows there real lack of concern for Ukraine as they are quick to use the war as an attack now on Starmer when they should be showing solidarity. It was a photo-op for Johnson.
