The Traitors a good example of how despite the many strengths of Netflix and co they can’t come close to creating the national discourse moments, the WhatsApp group chats, next day in the office discussions that live TV, and in particular the BBC, do so well.

Interesting that although it’s based on a Dutch programme & made by an external production company that the copyright (at the end of episodes) is held by the BBC (unlike many other programmes)
Strikes me that on era of instant news papers have switched to celeb pieces where we're all expected to know who's who & what's what
