this is what long-time Elon watchers call "The Realization": when Elon stumbles into your area of expertise, and you realize everyone just gives the guy the benefit of the doubt because he talks about complicated things people don't pay attention to

Before I just thought he was some eccentric VC.
It was also the time it showed people he wasn’t a genius, I think. The first crack in that image he cultivated.
I'm still trying to convince a friend of mine that he is , in fact, not a genious and all the ''inventions he brought forward'' are just purchases of a whiny man-child
At least, up to that point.
Its like he exists to show me that as low as my expectations can go, its never low enough. And no matter how hard the wealthy fail, they stay wealthy.
