3. And support your local media. It feels good to slam the local TV and newspapers, but they’re struggling, too. They’ve had to lay people off because people turned to Facebook. They aren’t perfect, but they can be better - with your help and support. ;)

2. Remember all the school board protests of a year ago? That’s what they did and it worked. So do that - but friendlier, aggressive but not ugly and hostile like they were. And protest in NUMBERS. Journalists like me will see it. I promise.

Good question. First, by being the best journalist I can be, I guess. Honest, even when it’s hard. Not unbiased - I have opinions - but always fair. And by reminding folks that you win first at the grassroots - city council, school boards. Organize there first.
