yes. i have a local coffee shop that does this for me. i also volunteer at a lot of music festivals in my area, so i do have a rotating third place in that regard.

it was at one particular festival (which is not taking place now) that i explored expressions of my authentic identity. those expressions spilled over into the rest of my involvements, which flowed into the rest of my life. I am living in my fullest authenticity because of that safe (third) place.

I love that for you! And can relate- one of my first Third Spaces was the Health and Harmony (later just Harmony) festival held where I grew up. I was raised in the church and it was the first place I was exposed to so many wonderful- and more resonant- ways of living. I wish they'd bring it back! 💚

i join with you in your wish for Harmony to return (fingers 🤞 toes too). Being able to see diversity modeled & to live in harmony is such a gift. i love that you have a positive memory from your growth beyond the four walls of the churched world. i have a similar experience of being raised in church
