That's BEAUTIFUL! I used to embroider, counted cross stitch and needlepoint. I'm getting ready to be in and out of the hospital-maybe I should buy some kits or patterns/cloth/threads and take one or more of them up again! I hope you're feeling better soon!💙
If you'd like, we have some really neat starter kits to help you learn the stitches in a fun and manageable way. DM me and I can send you one to get you started (and yes, I am a fully certified enabler 😜🧵 ).
Hi, this isn't my post, but thought I'd offer my suggestion. I started learning 5 years ago by just ordering a simple embroidery kit that had 3-5 different types of stiches in it, this is what I recommend to friends who ask. You can always look up stiches online for help.
Lovely! Keep at it. During the first Gulf War, I made 3 needlepoint pillows. It kept me sane. Our former babysitter was there. My son called him the Big Boy. He loved having him babysit because he played boy games with him.
When the last thing we notice is the color of skin
And the first thing we look for is the beauty within
When the sky in the ocean are green and grey
Then We shall be free
I'm a beginner embroiderer and I just learned how to do thread saving satin stitches and it's so cool. Idk if anyone else is interested but here's the video. https://youtu.be/p3fAX32NMec?si=H10CSJH6OtNVA4GZ
how wonderful, balloonist* hearts and flowers rising above, delightfully embroidered to deliver a micro burst of much needed positivity! *at first blush i thought the balloons 🎈 were lollipops 🍭…either way, your message resonates and makes something lovely out of today’s dreadful political climate.

It's the first I've done in 20 years. Once my fingers get their memory back, if I do this one again, yes, I will
