Very American attitude right now - "we do not need X, Y, Z system." (OSHA, NIOSH, NSF, USAID, CFPB, and also free trade, alliances, etc) Very European/Canadian/etc attitude right now - "we need X, Y, Z system. We just need to not depend on America as part of it." It's quite a stunning dichotomy.

I think some people have had "relatively" few issues with food over the last roughly 50 years and assume its safety is kept under control. They are about to get a rude awakening. Food safety inspectors are critical for us to not have the safety of our food when we cook and shop.

Add to this with without the food inspectors we will have to consciously think about what you will need to do to not only insure your food is fresh, but how you need to store, prepare and cook your food to make sure your meal will not kill you or your family.
