They are about in very good numbers here in North Dorset this winter, Peter. I have 4 in the garden at the moment, one of which is ringed - have been able to capture the details yet. I assume some of them are continental birds.

They used to be quite common here in London but I suspect they've been pushed out by other more successful species.

It's definitely a thrush winter here - hoping for a Mistle....
The weedy pond has drawn so many species in over the autumn & winter. Especially Greenfinches.

Haven't seen a Mistle here in years and Greenfinches very uncommon. Parakeets on the other hand.....
