The Mavericks reportedly approached the Timberwolves about Luka Doncic for Anthony Edwards trade

The Timberwolves shot that down and the Doncic for Anthony Davis stunner ultimately went forward.

One big difference is both fan bases would’ve been pissed (myself included*) - I don’t think there are a ton of Laker fans wishing they had kept Davis instead

Would have been an insane challenge trade but can't see the Wolves gambling that much given the differences in contracts.
