Beware of Chicken. It's fun, the cozy elements are to die for, and it manages to stay interesting without too much navel gazing.

It understands the genre and tropes, becoming a love letter to them.

Fun fact: It was originally going to be a harem book, but the author went... nah.

No gods for drowning by Hailey Piper. It's fantasy tale involving gods who don't give a shit and people trying to do the best in terrible situations.

Pinocchio's Guide to the End of The World by Eva Moon

Such a fun twist on the original story. The characters were so memorable and the jokes still make me laugh to this day. I think how every little detail comes together in the end was phenomenal.

Wicked Ugly Bad by Cassandra Gannon. Fated mates, twisted take on Cinderella where the stepsister is actually the hero. Start of the excellent "A Kinda Fairytale" series. Lots of humor and steam, and she writes yearning and imperfect characters really well. 💕

Probably a cliche pick, but Sword of Kaigen is just a level above anything else I've read in the indie space. Incredible character work, great worldbuilding and phenomenal pacing and action.

That is a hard question! I can't pick a favorite, but...

I'm gonna give a shout-out to She is the End, by A. C. Weston because it's the one I'm reading right now & it is awesome! There's something urgent about her prose that makes you feel like you're right there, and the action unfolds around you.
