"Debates over policies, persuasion, and mobilization are important. Necessary, even. But all of it is just so much teeth-gnashing unless Democrats can agree they lost the information war in 2024." People have to touch that stove.
In all seriousness, I was just having a discussion about how we can better engage in digital advocacy. I'll be sharing this around.
(sarcasm)
We didn't just lose the information war, we never even really acknowledged it.
For the moment we are fighting against fascism!
Once we defeat it we will get back to you with our updated progressive agenda. As always we fight to uphold the rights and civil liberties of all Americans.
Will that work?
I wrote WH to say "start advertising.'
I would buy digital billboards & signs saying "500 union construction jobs paid by Biden/Dems bills. Your Senator/House member voted NO for new bridges etc

#CitizensUnited
Money is speech, apparently, and the less money you have, the least you are heard

No

Penetrating the right-wing info silo will not be easy.
The messages overall are pretty good for Dems. Most in USA support the Dem policies when the party is not identified. But people don't know that.
Problem is the messages not getting through.
The left voters need to get actively involved & create an “alternative” culture. Just having more pro-left media presence won’t work unless we create a “movement”. (Like the 60’s anti-war counter culture)
And that concludes today’s lesson.
All that wasted energy could have been directed at a possible trump presidency..
Take some accountability here .
I’m a democrat in a rural area, in a red district, in a blue state. The Dems policies are not heard and misinformed to most here.
Dems shouldn’t physically come to rural areas.
