Give a nod to Hoover for his work with food relief in Europe, following wars, that may very well have saved the lives of tens of millions of people. The American people sent mountains of it, something few people today have ever heard about.

I'm not defending Hoover, but he did redeem himself some with his European relief efforts after World War II, reprising his efforts after World War I.
