This is a very important point that JVL is making. I'm surprised pundits aren't talking about this. The US has always been America first, just as in every other nation. Some people just don't seem to understand that a safe and secure, rules-based world is in Amerca's interest.

The only “power” Trump is concerned with is the type of unitary executive power that allows him to enrich himself at the expense of working class taxpayers. Musk is getting in on the action to improve his already shameful tax position and cash in on as many privatized government contracts he can.
