This should get interesting. Judges by my recollection have near absolute immunity and are subject to adversarial action by their judicial review boards, not the executive branch. The contempt hearings for the FBI agents and US Marshalls will make for a good bag of popcorn and a beer.

Probably because there is no possibility of charges. By my understanding the Chief Justice of the courthouse has sole jurisdiction within the courthouse, meaning the ICE agents needed his permission to act. She directed them to get the appropriate authority.
