My navy loses a fleet of ships to a country without a navy. My air force loses 40+ bombers in a morning to a country without an air force My army controls less of Ukraine now than it did 3 years ago. But we're winning.

Although the objective here is not to create an opportunity for profiteering, the odds of someone close to the Trump regime not viewing this as an opportunity to get an inflated contract is pretty remote.

The shocking thing is that this hasn't been standard procedure for every country ever since the internet age made this relatively simple to do.

There is literally nothing but Trump's desire to protect Putin which is keeping the USA from levelling harsh sanctions on Russia, providing Ukraine more weapons, and helping Ukraine win its war against a sub-par Russian military.

A few months ago, a senior leader visited. In advance of his visit, he asked everyone to write down “what is one thing you would change” to improve the organization. My answer was to set aside talk of AI. Instead, focus on providing us with basic, functional software on a server of reasonable speed.

I wanted to share with you several points from an article by Marc Champion @marcchampion1.bsky.social a Bloomberg columnist, who attended a meeting of generals and officers from around 20 countries at the UK's Royal United Services Institute. Key points from the article:⤵️

🇺🇦🔝 Ukraine has used AI-based drone for the first time, — Minister of Digital Transformation Fedorov. The drone delivers two FPV strike drones to a distance of up to 300 km. They are able to autonomously find and hit targets: from enemy aircraft to air defense and critical infrastructure facilities.

"If you were the Russian authorities, what would you do for victory?" "I would stop the war altogether." Russian "Z-blogger" Maksim Kalashnikov went to the frontline in Russia's Kursk region&interviewed a Russian officer who said that the war must be stopped,it makes no sense

1/ This graph from @jonbruner.bsky.social tells an important story: America's current dominance in science only began after the mid-1930s, when persecuted scientists began fleeing universities in Germany and then elsewhere in occupied Europe.

Solid quote at the end there: “President Trump seems to be the antithesis of Teddy Roosevelt: speak loudly and carry a little stick.“

This is the thing with narcissists, no matter how much you praise them, or help them, they will always want more and turn on you the moment you don't provide them the gratification they want at the moment.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is not informed about the true state of the war in Ukraine or Russia’s economy, as his inner circle fears repercussions and avoids discussing succession, Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service chief Oleh Ivashchenko said.

🇩🇪🇺🇦 Merz: A country that confronts the enemy only on its own territory does not defend itself properly. 🗣️ "Kyiv strikes military targets on Russian territory for self-defense, while Moscow deliberately attacks civilians, seeking to inflict as much damage as possible," he said

600 billion rubles is probably meaningless. The industry will be shutdown and the assets (such as they are) liquidated before losses reach that level.

The US media has started self censoring in the interests of the Trump regime. Not entirely surprising given the ownership structure of much of the media.
