The Oilers outplayed Florida in 6 of the 7 games last year but Bobrovski stonewalled them in 3 of those 6. Is Bobrovski the same goalie he was last year?

Be skeptical of the reports that Trump is frustrated. These types of "leaks" to the press are used to keep pressure off of Trump to act.

Don't overestimate the intelligence of Russians or underestimate the willingness of the Kremlin to sacrifice Russian civilians for political purposes.

If the US was committed to the principles it claims to uphold, then no action that Ukraine undertook would cause it concern.

Xi will never visit the White House period. That would be a symbolic action of subservience. Xi will only ever meet Trump on the sidelines of a global meeting in a neutral country (or preferably a friendly country), or in China. Who travels to meet who, matters in this matter.

You are making assumptions about the design. It was stated that the explosives were planted at seaben level. www.rferl.org/a/the-bridge...

If the explosion was a seabed level that bridge is f'd. www.rferl.org/a/the-bridge...

This is the logical result of decades of directing security services towards persecuting internal political threats rather than actual threats to the state. Americans should pay attention to this vis a vis the political loyalty tests at the FBI, the Pentagon, and the NSC.

Sure, but will it really affect the overall economy that much? www.warc.com/content/feed...

Trudeau was great at giving speeches and issuing statements, but was very poor on follow through. Carney has to set himself apart from Trudeau by delivering real actions on these items sooner rather than later.

TMX will be full 2 years ahead of prediction. It was expected to be fully utilized by 2028, it will be fully utilized by 2026 if not the end of 2025. The big delay in filling it earlier is contractual obligations on other pipelines, not a shortage of demand.

Diplokacy doesn't work with Muscovy because diplomacy requires good faith negotiation. Muscovy never intends to keep any agreement it puts its signature to.

In democracies it is the norm for people to rally behind their leader when the nation is threatened. When they fail to do so, the nation falls. I am not at all surprised that most people do not understand this.

Until Trump signs off on it, it doesn't mean anything.

The tragedy of both Poland and Ukraine is that the people have always been too independent to unite behind a single person. Meaning that the democracy of Poland was undermined by outsiders and the Cossacks could not unite to throw off the Russian shackles.

Putin implicitly called Melania a wh**e to Trumps face. There is no bottom to the amount of humiliation that Trump will endure from Putin.

For showing initiative under dangerous situations, each of the men will be rewarded with a free mandatory trip to Ukraine. Equipment purchases will be at their own (or families) expense.

And on the bright side, the survivors who retreated were probably shot by their commanders for cowardice.

And he always viewed the evangelicals as easily manipulated chumps. He never liked or respected them. He never liked or trusted the federalist society either. But he was willing to use them.

Hard to disagree. If Biden had been willing to commit US/NATO airpower to defend UA the war would not have happened, or would have been over in weeks rather than dragging on for years.

Human nature is what human nature is. It's shocking that in the 21st century there are people who are in denial that they are surrounded by people with no morals or ethics and will do what ever they are allowed to do to gratify their own desires. Civilization is something that needs to be fought for
comment in response to post
Trump was always suspicious of them because they adhere to an ideology. Trump doesn't trust people who believe in something other than their own immediate gratification. They are too hard to buy off.

No doubt he was absolutely shocked to find this out from the Russians. He clearly had no idea that the export permits with his signature on them were intended for Ukraine. And he will have no idea about how it happened tomorrow either.

This will be a very useful tool if, or when, UA starts hitting refineries again, making sure that the most difficult parts to repair are hit.
comment in response to post
Of course not. Organized crime syndicates always work on the principle of deniability; nobody knew anything, nobody was in charge, it was all these anonymous underlings who did everything of their own volition.

One could argue the anti-christ is on a mission from God.

Lower labour costs, lower input costs, less stolen building material, fewer injuries due to easier to implement safety protocols, and undoubtedly a lot of other little details that saves money.

He isn't looking for an economic partnership with Russia, he is looking for political cover to remove sanctions so that rich Russians can start laundering their stolen money through his real estate business again.

All the reputational damage, none of the revenue. The type of management that explains how you bankrupt casinos.

And I left out the part about the civilians in the occupied areas who are being "disappeared" for speaking Ukrainian or displaying Ukrainian national symbols, or just to russify the occupied areas.

The judges basically said there was nothing for Congress to take back because they never gave the President the power in the first place. They are saying that Congress was right to do nothing.

All of them committed crimes of which Trump is also guilty. Trying to salve what passes for his conscience by saying it isn't even a crime when other people do it.
