Bigs who can't move the ball and get physically beat off the spot are overrated. The spacing and the shot blocking are nice but he makes low IQ choices at both ends and he has no dog in him. I hate to say that last part seriously but his inability to secure the ball is wild.

I do like JJJ as a player, but he is the poster boy for NBA fallacy. If you have an elite shooting rim-protecting skinny big, you are a contender. And it’s more valuable to a winning team than a big that passes, dribbles, or has, you know, any kind of reliable post-game.

Sengun is never going to be JJJ athletically but he’s good positional defender now. He’s usually in the right place and doesn’t cheat. And passing of course is night and day.
