It is probably nebulous but I'd start by looking up where your meds are manufactured and if there aren't american plants producing it, then it will be affected by tariffs in one way or another. If country of origin is say... china, then it is going to cost at least double (if it is available at all)

I just looked too. Although there is a manufacturing plant in Brooklyn the ingredients come from China. It's fun because the other day a relative said about the tariffs 'it's got to get done...there's no easy fix'. At least 3 of the women in my family have Crohn's or Ulcerative Colitis.

Check with your pharmacist to see if they have any coupons available that you can use. I always thought that those coupons were just for people without insurance. However, I recently found out that is not the case.

That was the point that I tried to make to a few people when some in Congress were talking about requiring SNAP benefits to only buy healthy food. There are a lot of people who live in food desserts. Many of those same people don’t always have reliable transportation.

YES exactly!! Cities, even rural areas. I was in an area of KY for a while with nothing but mom and pop stores within 25 miles. It was great if you wanted white bread, cabbage, bologna, bacon, potatoes, eggs and a few canned veggies. That's all you could get your hands on, even fresh fruit was rare.

to buy their food whenever and wherever they can. The other problem is that if a SNAP recipient uses their benefits to buy only lean meat, fruits, and vegetables then I would bet that they will run out of benefits before the end of the month. What are they supposed to do then?
