I was installing extra RAM six years ago in dim light and do not ask me how I managed to get the RAM in backwards and clip it in but wow does that ever get hot in there π
It's really hard to diagnose indeed but i tested with spare parts that i have, and can confirm it's the MoBo. I made sure to transfer on hardwood floor and general caution with grounding
Lol I was just about to ask "What exactly have you tried?". Every now and then I miss something obvious but I always like to check with my brother. Sometimes he throws something out there that fixes the whole thing.
Mine got fried last year due to a power surge. A power surge protector didn't do its job.
That was a nice excuse to upgrade some parts and get a UPS π Got a 7800X3D and tons more storage. And I learned that a Steam Deck can be a really good replacement during my main PC's downtime!
Does the system power up? You might just need to clear your CMOS. There should be a pin selector on the left side on the mobo. You set the pin to the opposite side, power it up. Then power it back down and place it back the way it supposed to be set.
Oh if it just doesn't power on (not even any fan in the PSU) then your mobo is likely OK and the PSU is dead. I had exactly this happen to me two weeks ago... drum studio PC's PSU died and I had to cancel my jam and order a cheap PSU π€

π€ Hope you get a replacement soon!
Might be able to flash a new bios onto it
I had a mobo die on me before, ASUS gave me hell and didnβt replace.. The dead laptop lives under my bed.

Check to see if one of the pins on the power connector got bent.
