I've always disliked him because he always seemed like a smug asshole. I used to watch his show occasionally for the panel, but couldn't even stand that for long.

Your perception is correct. The only reason we used to watch was for the occasional guest who was of interest (Dan Savage, for instance) who could hold their own in his format and push back. Smug, misogynist, cranky old man. It's been at least 8 years — it still feels good to actively not watch him.

I agree. He’s always been caustic and unfunny in my book. And he acts like he knows it all.
Most I can do is about 5 seconds as I’m scrolling. And that’s too much.
