To my mind the midfield let the full backs down consistently, along with the two wingers who are often unable or unwilling to help defend properly as a team. Bissouma, Son and Johnson particularly bad for this.

I would suggest that playing every game in an attack v defence style, where players are sprinting from one end of the field to the other constantly, is going to cause a lot of muscular injuries. Until Ange creates a system that controls games this will continue to happen

Yeah - fair enough, there are a bunch of reasons why not. But it also is quite simple management to say “We need you, we won’t judge you. Relax, enjoy and thank you”.
