It'd be fun if Behringer started cloning Teenage Engineering products, thus setting in motion a discourse feedback loop that could finally end social media for good

Someone should just start cloning Behringer clones, exactly the same machines except a layer of distortion in the background like a 3 generation video copy
Got to admit to liking Behringer clones of Boss pedals, means I am happier destro… I mean modding them!
Besides plastic is easier to drill through than die cast metal.
Imagine Teenage Engineerings horror, not because Behringer had blatantly ripped them off, but more because they would of made such an embarrassingly poor job of the design. A Behringer OP1 with the styling of their eurorack ripoffs would be hilarious!
I've seen some people have dug into the OP-1 firmware a bit, and if I'm not wrong the DSP SoC is available on Mouser. It would be funny (not quite as funny as an Uli clone though) to make a parts list, PCB file, 3d printer models and instructions on building your own
I guess the one good thing that would come from Beenage Engineering clones would be revealing just how much people are paying just to have the words Teenage Engineering written on something. You kind of assume that a lot of TE's profit margin must be just in the perceived value of the branding.

Just look at the accessories on their website. $79 boxer shorts?
