It's so hard for minority coaches to be successful in the NFL. They are expected to do the most with the least amount of talent and never get a chance to build anything successful. Just sad...
The Steelers have had 3 coaches over the last 55 years. On top of that, Tomlin has been to 2 Super Bowls and one one. Plus the man has never had a losing season. Nice try, but for every Tomlin there has been 10 minority coaches that have been fired within their first 3 seasons.
I'm so happy to read the comments on this post and see that Raiders fans on Bluesky are not "fire everyone" rage baiters. AP deserved better. It was a shitty season, but no one was going to compete with that QB room. If the defense gave up it's because they knew the offense couldn't score points.
5 LV seasons in the books, 0 playoff wins, 3 HC changes, and no QB. Sure glad all that additional $$ generated from the new stadium turned the franchise into a winner as previously projected by many…
The team was bad all year with situational football and didn’t create plays to our strengths, that’s on coaching. Flip; it’s a tough position for 1st year HC and a badly run org. Let’s hope proper processes across the board are implemented to dig this team out.
Same BS every year. High draft picks and new staff. No culture and Jerry Jones level ego problems in the offices. They have to win me back. New Year ..... New Team. I am half way dead ( 53 ) and this team dies every season from Davis Disease.
By "they", I meant the NFL collectively. Jerrod Mayo (no relation to the color of the condiment) is also Black and fired. I was not referring to the Raiders list of fired coaches...who all lasted LONGER than Antonio Pierce...(except for McDaniels and everybody hates him).
@pugaru.bsky.social because all of the ownership and administrative are country yt people. The franchise system protects that. The franchise system disenfranchises communities and people of color.
I’m genuinely curious if a HoF coach could coach the raiders with that shitty-ass roster to a winning record. And they gave him one year lol. Poverty franchise. Always.
Not sure what he was supposed to do with no QB, a horrible offensive coordinator, a diva WR that wanted out and the big free agent signee that got hurt. This is why they're continually a joke.
It's a really bad team, and it's not his fault. He's one and done. It's sad, but he'll catch on somewhere else. Please, by the ghost of Vince Lombardi, don't accept the Cleveland job.
Didn’t he hire the OC and wasn’t he partly responsible for their attempt at fixing the qb room this offseason? And Adam’s leaving really had no bearing as they were already a bad team before he left and even with him they didn’t have a qb. Also they drafted a TE when they just didn’t need to.
Make them win YOU back. That's my new way. After 40 years of this I am out. I can see why the KC fans are so happy after all their years of nothing finally changing.
He is lucky to get out of there, huge sigh of relief. Hopefully, he lands another gig for a team that has a chance at winning. Vegas has no home field advantage, every game is a road game.
It’s going to take more than a miracle to turn this franchise around any time soon. Hope Pierce lands somewhere and flourishes because this wasn’t an ideal situation.

Steelers owner created the Rooney rule.
we can do this all day
the list of one and done HCs is riddled with black coaches and very few whites
NFL owners can fire players and coaches at will!!!
But Lord forbid if a player request a trade
I get the offense not being that good, but there’s no excuse as the why the defense regressed so much.
I can see why TB12 would buy in.
Who would want to work for this organisation?
